It's still the Christmas season, right?

    Drummer Boy/Lazy Dad

    I

    "Go," she said to me.
    parrum pa pum-pum
    "A new neighbor to see."
    parrum pa pum-pum
    We have five girls unwed
    parrum pa pum-pum
Who'll save them when I'm dead?
    parrum pa pum-pum
    rum pa pum-pum
    rum pa pum-pum

    So I'll make a call
    parrum pa pum-pum
    To Netherfield.

    II

    He's an eager man,
    parrum pa pum-pum
    Not born a gentleman.
    parrum pa pum-pum
    His money comes from trade;
    parrum pa pum-pum
At least his bills are paid
    parrum pa pum-pum
    rum pa pum-pum
    rum pa pum-pum

    So I won't say no
    parrum pa pum-pum
    To Netherfield.

    III

    The assembly
    parrum pa pum-pum
    My daughters he will see
    parrum pa pum-pum
    In all their finest dress
    parrum pa pum-pum
    And their foolishness.
    parrum pa pum-pum
    rum pa pum-pum
    rum pa pum-pum
    Who will win the heart
    parrum pa pum-pum
    Of Netherfield?

    VI

    Quickly smitten,
    parrum pa pum-pum
He takes Jane for a spin.
    parrum pa pum-pum
Who needs five girls at home
    parrum pa pum-pum
When he loves the first one?
    parrum pa pum-pum
    rum pa pum-pum
    rum pa pum-pum

    So our savior's come
    parrum pa pum-pum
    To Netherfield.

Notes: I barely made it this year, but Boxing Day is still Christmas in my head. Feel free to replace the nonsense lines with your own -- I kept thinking 'fa-la-la-la' as I worked on the song but printed the 'rum-pa-pum-pums' as they are traditional.

    The End
