Short P&P Poems

    By Jennifer

    Caroline Bingley

    Miss Bingley, Miss Bingley,
    When will you stop?
Everyone sees that your plan is a flop.
    Mr. Darcy won't love you,
    And neither do we!
So stop all your dreaming of Pemberley.

    Mrs. Bennet's Rejoicing

    "Three daughters married!
    How lucky am I?!
    Three daughters married,
    I'll go make a pie!
    Two of them rich,
    But especially Lizzie!
I'm going to faint if I don't soon get busy!"

Netherfield (As Spoken By Mrs. Bennet)

"Netherfield Park is let at last!
And to think I was about to fast!
To a very rich young man!
Oh, were in the world is Miss Jane's fan?
She's dining tonight with he and his sister.
He invited her becuase he missed her.
They'll get married, it's so great!
He will be the perfect mate.
I'll send her in the rain,
    It won't cause any pain.
Then she'll have to stay all night,
I sure hope things will go all right!"

Not Titled (When Darcy And Bingley Go Back To Netherfield)

    "Why does he come?
He just sits there and stares.
    Why does he come?
Won't he show me he cares?
    To Longbourn he comes
    With no apparrent reason.
    He should be in London,
For Miss deBourgh is out this season.**
If he doesn't want to make addresses to me,
Won't he please leave from here
    And let poor me be?"

**I know Anne would not be in London because of Lady C., but I had to do it for the sake of rhyming.

    "Oh, Lydia! Oh, Lydia!
    Where can she have gone?
We must find her quite quickly,
For Mamma's all pale and wan.
    She ran away with Wickham,
Who thought he had us fooled.
He did, just for a little while,
Then Mr. Darcy gave the truth.

    The Austen Bunch

Think of it in your brain to the tune of the theme song to "The Brady Bunch"

    Here's the story,
    Of a lovely* lady,
Who was bringing up five very lovely* girls.
The eldest one had hair of gold,
    Like no other,
    The second one, in curls.

    Here's the story,
    Of a man named Bennet,
Who had five girls with a very silly wife.
    The eldest two had sense,
    Unlike the others.
    The younger three brought strife.

'Till the one day when this couple met the Bingleys
And they knew that it was much more than a hunch.
    Jane would marry Mr. Bingley,
And form a family, but, of time, that would take a bunch.

Then one day, 'bout a year from then, it finally happened.
In a double wedding outside Netherfield Park.
Two Miss Bennets became Mrs. Darcy and Bingley.
That's the way they all became the Austen Bunch.

    The Austen Bunch,
    The Austen Bunch,
That's the way they became the Austen Bunch.
