With endless stream of stories,

From Lizzy to Aunt Norris.

The gaps that dear Jane had left,
They fill and fill with pleasure:
Love, duels, honor, balls and theft
And every line a treasure!

They keep me in suspense all day:
What happens to Katrina?
How will turn out Kitty's stay?
How's Wickham, our sinner?

I laugh and cry, mourn and rejoice,
For all those phantoms dear.
It all a haunting magic voice
That keeps me always here.
