I've tried to get my hand on her other books, but my library doesn't have them yet. Hope they'll order them. I've heard so many good things about them. (Actually, I was on the look-out for the Finishing School series when I found they had this one 
)
I didn't think of the possibility that those might be very painful deaths, as opposed to Death-by-Soulless. Still, it irks me that there's no clear answer because even if those are the best deaths, it seems like it's a very extreme measure, and essentially, the whole plot depends on it. Gah. I still love the books though
