I must have exercised the poem bit. But then again in these type of books I always skip over the poetry. (I know I know but its the only way I can survive).
I love your description of the "16th-century-version of the Nigerian Bank Account Scam" that was the bit where I think i smashed my head into something. I mean he was a totally chivalrous guy and then....he just....what?!
And I know it wasn't Valancourt but the actions of the prisoner that Emily just KNEW WAS HER BELOVED are hilarious because she just thought "Yeah this is something my love would do!"
