Read it, loved it.

I wouldn't have described it as "light," or even "bright" although it ends happily. It does have a dry sense of humor and it's written somewhat sparingly of emotion. But the characterization and themes are so complex – and what I appreciate even more, dealt with subtly rather than hitting you over the head. Maybe that's what you meant by "light"?

I thought the romance/friendship completely satisfying and unusual, loved the side characters. And laughed several times while reading, which is rare for me.
