I started reading a WIP a few months ago and lost track of it. The story began in London with Darcy spending a night on the town with his disreputable cousin, the older brother of Colonel Fitzwilliam. They find themselves at a brothel where Elizabeth is being auctioned off to the highest bidder for the evening. Darcy Immediately wins the bid and spends the night tending to her. The next day he arranged to remove her from the brothel and return her to the care of the Gardiners.
If I'm not mistaken the author said that this story was a rewrite of an earlier work. Anyone know this story?
