I have this sneaky suspicion that the only way to improve Mr. Collins is via a writer's charity. Otherwise a cast iron skillet could prove useful. It would be like giving instructions to a mule. The first crack on the noggin is to get its attention, the second to give direction. Unfortunately I am not convinced that Collins would react positively to even this rudimentary training.
