It's because the new chapters we are seeing here are from the published, edited version. The author brushed up the story for publishing, corrected the (few) mistakes and made some (small) changes.
Anyway, I'm very glad we are given the end of the story here on the board where we followed it for years. Some authors don't bother and just just stop posting when they publish.
