Well, not exactly. BUT, Mr. Thornton (and a certain other lady...) does appear in the continuing story to this one,
Darcy's Hope at Donwell Abbey. BUT, as part of a whole Great War Romance series, I have tentative plans for John and Margaret to have their own story, as well as Robert Knightley and Colonel Fitzwilliam. And yes, Downton Abbey was the inspiration for the whole WW1 setting : )
