I really enjoyed this! I'm looking forward to the rest!
I've often thought that vapid silliness (Lydia and Collins) and rakehell scoundrel (Wickham) aside, Mrs. Bennet and Lady Catherine are the two most ill-mannered people in the story. A proper confrontation between them would be epic, and it would truly take a steam-roller of Lady Catherine's arrogance to make herself heard over Mrs. Bennet. Perhaps the only thing more delightful would be if there could be a three-way confrontation that also included Miss Bingley? I'm sure if Lady Catherine plans to make her way to Derbyshire, then Miss Bingley will have her turn too.
And meanwhile, Lizzie and Darcy are (or soon will be) sending each other shy looks at Pemberley, with no elopement news on the horizon to hurry the touring party back to Hertfordshire.
Well, Lady Catherine does pride herself on being of use to people!
