What a delightful little tidbit. I was upset that you were not updating our story, but this was a very good substitute.
My first response in reading was why Darcy didn't know about Elizabeth, and her him, but then I re-read and understood the sentence of only a very few individuals knew, so I understand why Darcy doesn't necessarily know about Elizabeth. Does he know there is a granddaughter, but doesn't know where she is, or does he not know of a granddaughter? Has James never named his godson and goddaughter to Elizabeth? I wouldn't think that would be a secret so much as the secret of Elizabeth to them. Very anxiously awaiting the update. I love, love, love this story. I can't wait for the reveal, and Darcy's reaction.
