What a wonderfully fun short story! I very much enjoyed reading it, and while I wish there were more I can very much appreciate the little glimpse of a Jane who's reached the end of her rope at just the right time and place. Now I can imagine her going home and having a nice good cry, then feeling absolutely guilty about her rather vigorous fraternal correction. Was this coffee shop owned, perhaps, by someone named "Hunsford"?
I hope I never ridicule what is wise or good. Follies and nonsense, whims and inconsistencies do divert me, I own, and I laugh at them whenever I can.
