Thank you! What a nice chapter!
Although I truly was hoping the Colonel would court Juliana before proposing (taking her to the theatre, musical events and other nice entertainments - all that romantic stuff-) I realise that perhaps it's for the best that they are already engaged. I'm surprised although at the determination that Juliana's father wants to get rid of her. Makes me think that perhaps he hides something (like he has debts or something like that, but then he would have pressed her to marry the other stupid rich man, so perhaps he's just a horrible father.)
And I'm actually hoping there's a scandal in the Matlock/De Bourgh family, am I that bad? I particularly hope that the “doctor“ who poisoned Anne is amply exposed at the trial.
Well,I look forward to the next chapter.
Thanks again for sharing your story.
