That is such a great idea, to give the confrontation with Lady Catherine to Mr. Bennet!! That in the original story Lizzy is able to hold her ground in such a way is after all due to her discussions with her father ;-). And that the "discussion" has so many ear-witnesses serves Lady Catherine just right :-).
