In which case Jane and Caleb will be staying in town to undertake investigations on behalf of Esmerelda to clear the name of a friend whose boyfriend is a thief, and to investigate who is blackmailing successful opera dancers by threatening to cut them up if they don't hand over much of what they get from their protectors. I'll cogitate on a third to twine in there, it doesn't fit with the other story which has to take place in 1819, which involves the body of a man with those from the Peterloo Massacre which should not have been there.
I am struggling with Laura Evans' story because I'm fetching up with too much tell and not enough show, so I've stepped aside and will then dissect it when I've had time to step back.
