Yes, stealing stories has happened before but now there is such a thing as e-readers and publishing copyrighted stories is happening a lot. And it takes a while for the author's to get their stories back and have the ones illegally published removed. Talk to some of the writer's this has happened to and you'll see how difficult it is, especially if the copyright protection has been removed. It's fby Sandy C - Tea Room
It has to be just an ego thing. The poster has made a little group where the stories are posted and there's always the adoring comments about how wonderful she is for doing this and how much people miss the stories. But, there are also comments from others who are making statements about how they would like to edit the stories and other similar things. These comments are dangerous. Since the storby Sandy C - Tea Room
What is even more astonishing is that as I looked at some of the reviews that agree with this person, they are also authors of their own JAFF stories. It's pathetic. I'm sure if their work was stolen and reposted at a site they choose not to post, they would be screaming! Regardless, as long as this person posts other authors' stories, I'll continue to report them.by Sandy C - Tea Room
If any of the Admins are following this thread, the person posting these stories is using stories posted here at DWG and they are an older JAFF fan. Here is a comment the posted made. They should know better if they have been around this long. The was in answer to a reviewer questioning why they were posting without permission from the original author. I believe they have been reported by more than one person on that site, but I imagine that with all the problems they have with the site, the person posting the stories probably figures they can ignore pleas to remove the stories because no one in the administration will pay any attention. Sadly, that doesn't help the original authors. Neither the admins on the site and the person doing the postiby Sandy C - Tea Room
Now posting stories by Megan Kelley also. It has been reported to the site administrators but who knows. If anyone knows Megan, please advise her. This person seems to be reposting Kitty Bennet stories by past writers with no permission other than showing the name of the original writer, so if any writers of Kitty Bennet stories don't want their stories posted by this person, they had better conby Sandy C - Tea Room
I agree. It's why I don't put any names or initials or titles for stories on sites that allow more mature stories. I've been around for many, many years and this has always been a site for all ages of readers which is why it's JAFF Index login was always so much different to only allow those stories that are for all ages. If this has changed, I hope the moderators will let us know. Thanks for brinby Sandy C - Tea Room

Looks like palmby has been translating and posting a lot of stories written by others on another site besides FFN, and so far, even though it is being talked about on this site and one other, none of the stories are being removed. Makes me wonder why the admins on these sites are not removing the stories being posted by palmby. There have been a few writers that have stated that they never gave pby Sandy C - Tea Room
Just glad to help. Been too many writers pulling stories because of plagiarism. Besides, this is one of my favorite short stories! Thanks for your stories!by Sandy C - Tea Room

Sandy W has contacted the writer and the story is the same as "The Lesser of Two Evils." The writer at FFNet told Sandy W she will be taking her story down.by Sandy C - Tea Room
Sandy W responded back to me. She is not that same writer so she is looking into it. Good catch, Ben J.by Sandy C - Tea Room
Hi Ben, I sent her a message on another site that she frequents and hopefully she can get to the bottom of it. Thanks.by Sandy C - Tea Room

I'm a little confused. In the Blurb, you state:"What if Elizabeth learned the truth about Mr. Wickham and Mr. Darcy via letters exchanged with her Aunt Gardiner?" If this is a one-shot, there is no mention of her Aunt. Does she stay, does she go? And if she goes, how does she exchange letters with her aunt, she said she would return to London so she could speak with her aunt. Definitely need soby Sandy C - Derbyshire Writers' Guild

Thanks Amy. I noticed some on other boards people thought DWG was down. I just figured the site was too busy but usually that is what the message would say. So glad it's back up and no more difficulties. Thanks!by Sandy C - Tea Room
For the past few days I have been having trouble getting on DWG. Usually it just says not available or sits there and churns forever without any messages. It's off and on, sometimes nothing and sometimes connecting. Today I got this message and wondered it is just too many on the site at that time: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unableby Sandy C - Tea Room
