Congratulations to Davis and to all of you. I've followed you through the years and know how dedicated each of you have been and can only imagine how proud you must be.by Sandy C - Tea Room
Sounds like a few lines from "Astonished in Derbyshire" by Suzanne O here at DWG She was talking with her Uncle Gardiner She laughed at that. “No, uncle, I am certain that was not the reason! I have it on the best possible authority that Mr. Darcy has never admired me.” “Why, whose authority do you mean?” “His own, of course!” https://www.dwiggie.com/derby/suzo15.htm#new1by Sandy C - Tea Room
The story is "The Beauty of Your Eyes" by Andrea G her at DWG http://www.dwiggie.com/derby/old_2002/andre1.htmby Sandy C - Tea Room
OK, my mind just isn't what it used to be so I need help. Not much to go on but I remember reading a story several years ago in which Caroline ends up married (Collins, I think) and they are outcast by their families. After they have several children, they decide to show up at I think the Bingley home near Pemberley thinking that since they are family they will be accepted back. I vote for Lutie Twaddle! LOL!by Sandy C - Tea Room
Thank goodness everything turned out well in the end. I'm really surprised about the edict of not allowing at least 1 parent to remain even in a bedside chair. I always had it in my mind that the well-being of our children should be first and foremost and to have a frightened child left without their parent does not fall into that category. You are handling it much better than I ever could since Iby Sandy C - Tea Room
Praying his surgery goes just fine and his recovery fast. And praying for mom's nerves as this is going on. Kids can bounce back so fast from things that would take the rest of us months to get over. Let us know when all is ok.by Sandy C - Tea Room
Glad I could help. It's one of my favorite stories. Enjoy the read.by Sandy C - Tea Room

Better for Loving You by Helen http://www.dwiggie.com/derby/helen1.htmby Sandy C - Tea Room
In the real Fitzwilliam family you might be surprised to find that the most common first name was 'William'. Here are a few of the Earls names: William Fitzwilliam, 1st Earl Fitzwilliam (1643–1719) John Fitzwilliam, 2nd Earl Fitzwilliam (1681–1728) William Fitzwilliam, 3rd Earl Fitzwilliam (1719–1756) (created Earl Fitzwilliam in the Peerage of Great Britain in 1746) William Fitby Sandy C - Tea Room
Jim, read it. I am 100% positive it is the story. I think you'll like it. It one of the first stories I ever read with one or both of his parents still living. It's a great story.by Sandy C - Tea Room
The story your are searching for is "An Unsuitable Marriage" by Lucie. Don't know if it's online anymore.by Sandy C - Tea Room
He will always be Colonel Brandon to me, too. I am still shocked from Bowie's death and now Alan Rickman's death just has me reeling! So, so sad. I love this quote I saw published on FB: "When I'm 80 years old and sitting in my rocking chair, I'll be reading Harry Potter. And my family will say to me, 'After all this time'? And I will say 'Always'." - Alan Rickmanby Sandy C - Tea Room
The 2nd one is actually two of my favorite stories by Amy J. : An Engaging Friendshup http://www.dwiggie.com/derby/old_2009/amyj3.htm and Paths of Men http://www.dwiggie.com/derby/old_2008/amyj2.htmby Sandy C - Tea Room
