Harvey S received permission from Sharni a long time ago to write his "Connections Redux". It is a great story and one of my favorites! http://www.dwiggie.com/derby/harveys1.htmby Sandy C - Tea Room
We each interpret JA in different ways and therefore we are destined to disagree based on those different interpretations.by Sandy C - Tea Room
“In marrying your nephew, I should not consider myself as quitting that sphere. He is a gentleman; I am a gentleman’s daughter; so far we are equal.” “True. You are a gentleman’s daughter. But who was your mother? Who are your uncles and aunts? Do not imagine me ignorant of their condition.” Even Lady Catherine acknowledged that Elizabeth was a gentleman's daughter. She was against her mother's fby Sandy C - Tea Room
It's "Better for Loving You" by Helen http://www.dwiggie.com/derby/helen1.htmby Sandy C - Tea Room
When I look at the book and how things played out from the time they entered the Meryton Assembly, the people discussing the worth of the men and Mrs Bennet pushing her daughters at the men and then Caroline's jealous behavior around Darcy...it wasn't a good picture. And to find out that this is behavior Darcy has been submitted to before in society, what is he supposed to think? Of course, he isnby Sandy C - Tea Room
Well, let's face it, telling the truth wasn't always Caroline's primary concern. But, I personally always thought Caroline was jealous and she attempted to distance her family's ties to trade by downgrading others. In that era, it took several generations for the stench of 'new money' to be erased and let's face it, the Bennet girls were a gentleman's daughters of several generations. Caroline crby Sandy C - Tea Room
This is what the book says in the letter Darcy wrote to Elizabeth There is but one part of my conduct in the whole affair on which I do not reflect with satisfaction; it is that I condescended to adopt the measures of art so far as to conceal from him your sister’s being in town. I knew it myself, as it was known to Miss Bingley; but her brother is even yet ignorant of it. I guess it depends onby Sandy C - Tea Room
I don't believe that Jane thought visiting Caroline would show interest in Bingley, I believe in Jane's naivety, she genuinely believed that Caroline was her friend. That's why she believed Caro when she outright lied to Jane in her letter and just couldn't believe that her friend would deceive her. She truly believed Caro was being kind to her. I also think that at the time, since Darcy didn't bby Sandy C - Tea Room
Oh thank goodness. I thought I had missed something and it really wasn't finished. Now Kayleigh can keep on reading knowing it does end.by Sandy C - Tea Room
Roxey, what story are you lookng at? "Regard and Regulation" had an Epilogue and even has a teal dot on it which is only there if the story is finished. Maybe you are missing a link somewhere.by Sandy C - Tea Room
Been such a long time since I read these two but the 2nd one has "The End" written at the end of what is posted. Makes me wonder now what is missing!by Sandy C - Tea Room
It would really be a boring world if everyone agreed. Not to mention we would never have any interesting JAFF stories!by Sandy C - Tea Room
I also look at the difference in the cautions from Darcy and Elizabeth to their friends. In Darcy's case he is cautioning Bingley that he sees no sign in Jane that she is in love with him and Bingley takes it as exact truth not trusting his own conversations and encounters with Jane....while Elizabeth declares to Charlotte that engagement to Collins is 'impossible' and Charlotte has thought her caby Sandy C - Tea Room
Don't feel bad Adelade. I wasn't sure which one it was until the clue of shooting Elizabeth on Pemberley grounds...then I knew which one it was.by Sandy C - Tea Room

I think that would really change the dynamics of the story a lot. First, who would then be Mrs Bennet's gossip buddy? Next, would she be able to see through Wickham more quickly? Mr Gardiner didn't in the original, but then, he didn't spend so much time with Wickham as Mrs Phillips did? Would she be stop Kitty and Lydia from flirting so much when attending gatherings in her home? Would she noticby Sandy C - Tea Room
