I wouldn't want to be a bother, say if 9 people have to edit LDB out of their posts for only me ;-pby Lise - JAFF Library
I thought it had a different feel to it than JA's other books. Did anyone else have that? Maybe because we're so used to equating the books with the hero(in)es, and I couldn't see any yet....by Lise - JAFF Library
But if I'm the only one, I'll just bow out and read on my own.by Lise - JAFF Library
Can you, if you are referring to some story we will not all have read, clarify this??? I have no idea who you are talking about.by Lise - JAFF Library
Monday we have a brunch at S-I-L's, perfect time to read some....by Lise - JAFF Library
Not long ago I got a Dalziel and Pascoe book from the library and there were connections to Sanditon. I didn't finish it, because it alternated the narrative with letters written semi-phonetically and unparagraphed. After two of such chapters I gave up. I found them highly irritating to read.by Lise - JAFF Library
Old detectives of the Peculiar Crime Unit, solving peculiar cases. In the first book I read, they were long past retirement age. The book I'm reading now is looking back at an old case.by Lise - JAFF Library
Has anyone read him? I'm on a second book now and they're rather amusing.by Lise - JAFF Library
I copied the right URL and 'liked'. Now I coped the URL of the one I found by searching: https://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=16032174268&v=infoby Lise - Tea Room
Because I'm logged in as Milco in this browser, I searched for it in my other browser, but I found another DWG on facebook... ???by Lise - Tea Room
Or do I also have Case Histories? Hmm. Oh if you are into crime novels by women....I found some by Sheila Quigley at the Boekenfestijn, but I'm not sure I'd recommend them. She hardly ever uses the word 'you'; it's 'yer' everywhere even in the narrative. Which is a little off-putting. Also, I read Ian Rankin directly afterwards and the thoughts and speech of DI Rebus are so much more sophisticateby Lise - JAFF Library
I don't do sci-fi and fantasy, no. I kept hoping that when the initial scene ended, she would go home and be normal, but there were some weird things there too. Anyone who wants it can have it for christmas.by Lise - JAFF Library
It's called Something Rotten. I haven't read the others, but I once read that someone around here liked them. Or multiple someones. I don't think it's my style. Now what...by Lise - JAFF Library
So weird. I don't know if I'll make it to the end.by Lise - JAFF Library
