You write so well, I feel like climbing into your story and boxing a few ears: Edmund who is so blind and heedless when it comes to worldly Mary; Henry who is an an idiot, blaming Maria for the affair (“she made me do it” is the lamest excuse ever - like Adam blaming Eve for eating forbidden fruit) and thinking Fanny can fix him?!? Argh….; and then lovely, deceitful social climbing Mary, who blames Fanny for Henry straying, justifies his immoral actions and thinks nothing inherently wrong with it. And not to mention she not-so-secretly hopes Tom will die, and drops sly little hints to Fanny of what she’ll do as Mistress of Mansfield.
Thank you for this amazing story thus far! Looking forward to reading the rest! ☺️
